Privacy notice · version 2026-07-16
Your information should have a clear job.
Ontario Boat Ramps is an Ontario-based digital directory operated within the Niagara Stands Out Canadian business network. We collect only the information needed to answer a request, review a contribution, deliver a requested service, protect the site, or measure a disclosed placement.
What we collect
- Ramp searches, page interactions, and coarse technical information used to operate and improve the site.
- Contact details and message content you choose to send through a correction, photo, or advertiser form.
- Submitted photos, capture date, ramp reference, permission choices, and review records.
- Consent text/version, timestamp, requested channel, and withdrawal state where consent is required.
- Security information such as request identifiers and a limited client fingerprint used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
How we use it
- Review and publish accurate ramp information or approved photos.
- Respond to corrections, privacy requests, and sponsorship inquiries.
- Fulfil an approved photo-contribution thank-you decal request.
- Operate first-party analytics without placing email addresses, phone numbers, precise location, or free-text messages in event names or URLs.
- Detect spam, duplicate uploads, fraud, and technical failures.
Service providers and disclosure
We use hosting, private data-storage, email, security, and measurement providers to run the service. They receive only the information needed for their role. We do not sell personal information. Approved advertiser placements are labelled and never change safety information or organic launch ordering.

Photos, people, and attribution
Photos remain private during review. Images containing identifiable people, children, vehicle plates, private-property details, or other personal information may be blurred, rejected, or removed. Contributors choose whether a public credit name is displayed. The contributor keeps copyright and grants only the licence described in the submission form and photo terms.
Your choices
- Marketing permission is optional, separate, and off by default.
- You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information.
- You may withdraw photo-publication permission, subject to reasonable identity and rights verification.
- Browser and device controls can limit cookies, local storage, notifications, and location access.
Send privacy or withdrawal requests to info@niagarastandsout.ca. Include the relevant ramp, submission date, or request identifier when available.
Questions can also start on the contact page. This notice may be updated when providers or workflows change; the version shown with a form is stored with the related consent record.
