Lake Ontario ramps can be convenient and unforgiving at the same time. Wind direction, exposed harbour approaches, parking pressure, and trailer handling all matter before the boat leaves home.
- Use protected harbour launches for family trips and newer operators when the lake forecast is marginal.
- Check municipal pages for fee, parking, and seasonal closure changes before towing.
- Confirm your boat numbers, name lettering, drain plug, PFDs, fuel, and float plan before reaching the queue.
